The International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is the most prestigious annual competitive programming competition for secondary school students.The first IOI was held in 1989 in Pravetz, Bulgaria.

The preparation for IOI 2016 in Kazan is going at full speed and today, we present the Promo Video of IOI 2016.

For the first time in the history, Russia will be hosting International Olympiad in Informatics in 2016. Kazan won the right to host the event over other bidding cities from Japan and Azerbaijan.

Intellectual competition will take place on the premises of Kazan Federal University.

The contest consists of two days of computer programming and problem-solving of algorithmic nature. Points collected on each of the two competition days are summarized for each competitor separately. Each country can be represented with 4 participants at most.
