Brazil: “I’ve taken part in Olympiads like these for ten years”

The newsletter finally managed to catch up with the elusive but chatty team from Brazil. Their most talkative member Lucca Morais de Arruda Siaudzionis shared his thoughts with us.

- How do you spend your free time at home?

- When I’m not studying I like reading books, watching films and going out with my friends. Nothing special – in this regard I think people all over the world are the same.

- How did you first get into IT?

- You know – I’ve taken part in olympiads like this for ten years. I tested myself in all the subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, maths. IT was the only one left, and turned out to be the one for me. And once I learned how quickly the IT industry is progressing, I knew I’d made the right choice.

- Have you tried any Tatar food? What do you like best?

- If I’m honest, I haven’t had the chance to try any of the local cuisine yet. I hope I will though! At any rate, I think we’ll like Tatar cooking.

- Have you made any friends in other teams, or with any of the volunteers?

- Yes of course! I’ve made friends with some of the volunteers, as well as the teams from Georgia and Venezuela. Hopefully that won’t be an issue!

- Would you like to visit Russia again?

- Sure – so far I’ve only been to Kazan – I’d really like to go to Moscow and St Petersburg.
